I joined #TeamStroke for the Royal Parks Half Marathon 2026.

There are over 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.

We're here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. We believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so we work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.

Running for the Stroke Association 🏃🏻‍♀️❤️

Monday 10th Aug
This year, I’m taking on the challenge of running a half marathon to raise money for the Stroke Association.

This cause is particularly close to my heart as my dad suffered a stroke at the start of this year. Thankfully, he survived, but he has been left with ongoing physical and cognitive side effects, and we’ve seen first-hand how much a stroke can change someone’s life.

I wanted to do something positive to help raise awareness and support the incredible work the Stroke Association does for stroke survivors and their families.

13.1 miles is definitely going to be a challenge, but knowing I’m running for such an important cause will keep me going!

Any donation, no matter how big or small, would mean so much and help the Stroke Association continue the amazing support they provide.
