This year, I’ll be taking part in the Great North Run alongside my best friend Jess, in honour of two people who’ve made the cause of stroke awareness and support really personal to me.

I’m running for my grandmother, who I never had the privilege of meeting, as she sadly passed away from a stroke when my dad was young. I’m also running for Jess’s amazing dad, who has survived multiple strokes and continues to face each day with so much strength. Jess is running too, and I'll be supporting her every step of the way, just as she’s supported her dad ❤️

The Stroke Association does vital work, from funding life-saving research to providing support for stroke survivors and their families. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference!
