I'm taking part in the Great North Run 2026 as part of #TeamStroke

I've been invited to join #TeamStroke for the Great North Run 2026.

Sadly, my mum wasn't one of the 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, but I continue to fundraise for Stroke Association to help survivors receive the best care and support. In the past 3 months, I know of 3 people effected by stroke.

With 100,000 strokes in the UK each year (one every 5 minutes), there's a lot of people needing help to recover.

I'm a few years older than my last big run with a few more aches and pains. If you can help keep me moving I would be delighted and the Stroke Association would be very grateful.
