I'm taking part in the TCS London Marathon as part of #TeamStroke

I joined #TeamStroke for the TCS London Marathon 2025.

There are over 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.

We're here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. We believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so we work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.

As everyone knows, I absolutely love running 👀 and have ran 10k before so surely running a marathon will be a breeze! 
Unfortunately, as much as I’m an optimist, I’m under no illusion that running the London marathon will be one of the biggest challenges I have embarked on! 
I have taken up this challenge to raise money for Stroke Association. This charity has become very close to our family this year, due to a family member becoming a stroke survivor and seeing first hand the intense rehabilitation and care stroke association nurses carry out. 
Unfortunately, it’s not just the elderly that are susceptible to having a stroke. 
For these reasons I would appreciate any donations you are able to give to this great cause and help motivate me towards running…26.2miles 🥵.
