Bath Half Marathon 2026

I'm taking part in the Bath Half Marathon as part of #TeamStroke

I've joined #TeamStroke for the stunning Bath Half Marathon 2026, taking in some of Bath's famous landmarks on closed roads. It's an event not to be missed

There are over 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.

We're here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. We believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so we work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.

Tough run

Saturday 17th Jan
After injury my ankle at the end of November, my runs are slowly increasing again. Just over 5 miles this morning felt so much tougher than the freezing run Abby and I did last week. Perhaps it’s just because I wasn’t with her. Got back to a nice donation from my dad which perked me up.

The why’s..,

Monday 12th Jan
This year, I’ll be taking on the Bath Half Marathon, and I’m incredibly proud to be doing it in support of  Stroke Association. I will have my super running partner Abby by my side, and running the 13.1 miles will be a huge personal challenge for both of us.

Whilst running the Bath Half, I hope to raise both funds and awareness for this important cause, every donation helps the stroke association continue their life-saving research, improve recovery services and ensure that no one has to face the aftermath of a stroke alone.

We both have first hand experience in how a stroke affects the lives of loved ones and supporting family.

On a personal level, this challenge is about resilience commitment and proving to myself that I can do hard things. On race day, every mile will be a reminder of why I started and who I’m running for.

The start…

Wednesday 20th Aug
Abby and I are adding to our running challenge. Several members of both our families have suffered from strokes with life changing implications. Help us fund raise to support further research.

Thank you to my sponsors

My only half marathon (many years ago) was raising money for Stroke Association. So your choice very much resonates. Well done to both of you for taking on this challenge!
