I'm taking part in the Brighton Marathon as part of #TeamStroke
Those of you closest to us will know that my Pops has suffered two strokes this year and together we are working hard to make sure that we continue to enjoy life and live it to the full….. We are so lucky to have friends and family who are there for us however it can still be tough at times so in order to support a great cause and help those maybe not as fortunate as us I have joined #TeamStroke for the Brighton Marathon 2024.
There are over 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
The Stroke Association are there to support people in rebuilding their lives after a stroke. We all believe that everyone deserves to live the best life they can after a stroke, so the association works with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. As with all charities they rely on our support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.
Any sponsorship you can spare would be very much appreciated, however small…. I’m running it for the love of my Pops and my Mum who must be the strongest woman I know
