I joined #TeamStroke for the Royal Parks Half Marathon 2026.
There are over 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
We're here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. We believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so we work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.

Friday 4th Sep Setting myself the challenge of running a big PB for the royal parks half in memory of my Grandad who did a huge amount of work to support stoke victims before he passed. I would massively appreciate any donations however small to go towards such an important cause!!- £30 could help someone find hope, emotional support, and practical information through a call to our Stroke Support Helpline
- £100 could help pay for a Stroke Support Coordinator to provide vital tailored support to a stroke survivor and their loved ones
- £300 could pay for an MRI scan that can help us better understand the brains of people who have had a stroke
- £500 could help pay for a five-year Senior Lectureship Award - a critical research role that enables life-changing discoveries to prevent and treat stroke
- £750 could help fund one of our local Stroke Recovery Services, helping strokesurvivors and their loved ones
