I'm taking part in the Great North Run 2026 as part of #TeamStroke

I joined #TeamStroke for the Great North Run 2026.

My dad recently suffered 2 mini strokes followed by a major one and the support he received in hospital and is still receiving whilst home is second to none.

There are over 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.

No survivor should have to face life after stroke without stroke support, providing consistent, tailored help on the long journey to recovery.Â

We work with the stroke community to ensure the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.

Hi all, the reason I have chose to run for Stroke association is a 10 days before Christmas my Dad suffered 2 mini strokes and a major stroke. The nurses and his aftercare have been amazing so far and thanks to them all my dad is thankfully still here with us. Please donate if you can, if you can't then your support will be amazing.
