Paul and Lucy Bullen-Smith
My Story
We are taking part in the 2027 Double TCS London Marathon with #TeamStroke!
Paul experienced a thankfully minor stroke in February 2026. The care and support from the NHS and the Stroke Association has been superb, and an invaluable part of Paul's recovery.
We are both grateful to be able to continue our passion for cycling and walking, and be able to throw ourselves into the challege of our first marathon.
Sadly we already know no world records will be broken by us, as our target is to complete the London Marathon by walking it within 8 hours.
Every day in the UK, 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. With strength, determination and the right support, recovery is possible.
By taking on this challenge with Team Stroke, we are fundraising to provide tailored support to tens of thousands of stroke survivors each year, fund vital scientific research, and campaign to secure the best care and support for everyone affected by stroke.
Every donation helps someone find strength as we did, through support at a time when they need it most.
Thank you so much for supporting us.
