Oysho Royal Parks Half Marathon 2026

I'm taking part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon 2026 as part of #TeamStroke

I joined #TeamStroke for the Royal Parks Half Marathon 2026.

There are over 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.

We're here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. We believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so we work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.

My updates

my reason why.

Monday 24th Aug
On 11 October 2026, I’ll be taking on the Royal Parks Half Marathon to raise money for the Stroke Association — a charity that has become incredibly important to our family.

In November 2025, my wife Jacquii suffered a cerebellar haemorrhagic stroke. It came completely out of the blue and changed our lives overnight.

Since then, I’ve watched Jacquii face her recovery with incredible determination. Stroke recovery isn’t a straight line. There are good days and difficult days, and many of the lasting effects of a stroke are invisible to everyone else.

I’ve seen first-hand just how much a stroke can change not only the life of the person who has it, but the lives of everyone who loves them.

That’s why I’m running 13.1 miles for the Stroke Association.

They provide vital support to stroke survivors and their families, fund research and work to ensure that people affected by stroke have the help they need to rebuild their lives.

A couple of weeks before my half marathon, Jacquii will be taking on a challenge of her own — completing the Westminster Mile. For her, that one mile will be every bit as significant as my 13.1.

So, in October, we’ll both be crossing finish lines for the same reason: to show that while stroke may change a life, it doesn’t have to take away hope, determination or the possibility of moving forward.

If you’re able to sponsor me, however much you can give, we would both be incredibly grateful.

I’ll run the 13.1 miles. Jacquii will walk her mile. Together, we’re doing it for every life affected by stroke. 💜

Thank you to my sponsors
