I'm taking part in the Great North Run 2026 as part of #TeamStroke

Hi everyone,

I’ve signed up to run the Great North Run this September for the first time, and I’ll be raising money for the Stroke Association.

I’m not a regular runner but I wanted to push myself to do something meaningful while supporting a cause that affects so many people and families.

Stroke can happen suddenly and change lives in an instant. The Stroke Association provides vital support, rehabilitation, and research to help people rebuild their lives after a stroke.

I’ll be training over the next few months to get ready for race day, and any support no matter how small would genuinely mean a lot.
