I'm taking part in the Edinburgh Marathon 2026 as part of #TeamStroke

I'm taking part in the Edinburgh Marathon 2026 as part of #TeamStroke in memory of my Nan who was unfortunately one of the 30,000 people infected with Hepatitis C as part of the contaminated blood scandal in the 1990s.

Chronic Hepatitis C infection is known to increase the risk of stroke, and she later suffered multiple severe strokes that ultimately led to her untimely passing.

I was only 6 when she died, but her story has stayed with me for as long as I can remember. I am running for her, all of the other stroke victims, and their families.
