Unfortunately, I have injured my knee after falling from a ladder, resulting in a sprained MCL, Fractured tibial condyle and torn meniscus. This means I have regrettably had to pull out of the marathon this year as I won’t have recovered in time. 
Whilst it is bad enough that I have wasted many hours and miles training for an event I can’t do, I feel worse that many people have donated to the charity in sponsoring me.
The donations will stay with the Stroke Association as it’s not their fault I stupidly fell off a ladder. However, if anyone would like their money back then please let me know and I’ll pay you back personally.
Alternatively, I’ll be re-entering for the 2026 London marathon in April and I will personally match this years donations and add it to next years donations.
