I'm taking part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon 2026 as part of #TeamStroke
I joined #TeamStroke for the Royal Parks Half Marathon 2026.
If you know me personally you will know that unfortunately, my dad passed away from a stroke in 2018. Losing him was the hardest experience that me and my family have ever been through. That’s why I am choosing to raise money for this charity in honour of his memory and to raise money for others affected by a stroke. Although my dad unfortunately passed away, I would like to raise money for those who are living and adapting to life post stroke.
There are over 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
Stroke association supports and says: We're here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. We believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so we work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.
