I'm taking part in the Great North Run 2027 with #TeamStroke
I've joined #TeamStroke for the Great North Run 2027.
There are over 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
No survivor should have to face life after stroke without stroke support, providing consistent, tailored help on the long journey to recovery.
We work with the stroke community to ensure the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.

Great North Run 2027
Monday 21st SepOn the 12th September 2027, I’ll be taking on the Great North Run in memory of my Great Grandma Joan. ❤️ In 2018, Grandma suffered a life-changing stroke, which changed so much for her and for our family. Sadly, in 2024, after 6 years of Grandma still being there for us as best as she could after her world was turned upside down we lost Grandma. Anyone who knew my Grandma will know she was such a special part of our family, she was our rock and will always hold such a special place in all of our hearts.
I’m raising money for the Stroke Association because I’ve seen first-hand just how much a stroke can change someone’s life, as well as the lives of the people who love and care for them.Every donation, no matter how big or small, would mean so much to me.❤️
