I'm taking part in the TCS London Marathon 2027 with #TeamStroke
I lost my Mother in March 2026 to a stroke and 7 Years ago i also lost my Mother-in -Law. I have also lost 2 very close Uncles over the years so i would like to give something back for the care and treatment they received to help them in recovery although they didn't make it i know how hard the Stroke Teams all worked as they do on every person that is unfortunate to have one.By taking on this challenge with Team Stroke, I'll be fundraising to provide tailored support to tens of thousands of stroke survivors each year, fund vital scientific research, and campaign to secure the best care and support for everyone affected by stroke.

Friday 10th JulIn April, my world changed forever when I lost my beautiful mum to a stroke. Nothing can prepare you for losing someone you love so suddenly, and not a day goes by that I don’t think about her or wish she was still here. i’m
Sadly, this wasn’t the first time our family has experienced the devastating impact of stroke. Seven years ago, we lost my wonderful mother-in-law, and in the years before that we’ve also said goodbye to other close family members because of this cruel disease. Far too many people we love have been taken from us by stroke, and no family should have to endure that heartbreak.
Next year, I’ll be running the London Marathon in memory of them all and raising money for the Stroke Association. This will be one of the biggest challenges I’ve ever taken on, but every mile I run will be for my mum, my mother-in-law, and everyone we’ve lost.
The Stroke Association provides vital support to stroke survivors and their families, while also funding research to help prevent more families from experiencing the pain we’ve been through.
