I'm taking part in the 2027 Double TCS London Marathon with #TeamStroke

Every day in the UK, 240 people are affected by the catastrophic impact of a stroke. On the 23rd of July 2025 my dad became one of them. His brain injury affected the mobility on the left side of his body. This caused challenges to relearn basic activities like walking, writing and moving his left arm. 

A year later he is still on his path of recovery.Watching someone you love face a life altering injury is hard but the determination and improvement my dad shows is inspiring. My family thank Icanho Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre for his daily improvements and acceptance of what occurred.  

I am taking on the challenge with Team Stroke to complete the 2027 London Marathon for my dad. I'll be fundraising to provide tailored support to tens of thousands of stroke survivors and campaign to secure support for everyone affected by this brain injury.  

This marathon is for my dad and for families who also endure the hardship of what strokes cause. Thank you for your support to make a difference.
