I'm taking part in the Great North Run 2026 as part of #TeamStroke
I joined #TeamStroke for the Great North Run 2026.
There are over 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
The Stroke Association is there to help fund vital research, offering specialist support, and helping survivors rebuild their independence. Their work makes a real difference at one of the most challenging times in a person’s life.
Unfortunately the effects of strokes are felt not just within my own family but also to people very close to my heart.
By running the Great North Run, I want to raise awareness and represent the people affected by strokes. Every donation will help support vital research to support the thousands of people across the UK.
