I'm taking part in the Great North Run 2026 as part of #TeamStroke - in memory of Steve Hoile
I joined #TeamStroke for the Great North Run 2026. I'm running for my lovely uncle Steve, who unexpectedly died after having a stroke in June 2026.
I'd be so grateful if you can help me reach my target for this important charity. No amount is too small to make an impact.
"There are over 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
No survivor should have to face life after stroke without stroke support, providing consistent, tailored help on the long journey to recovery.
We work with the stroke community to ensure the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments."
