I'm taking part in the Great North Run 2026 as part of #TeamStroke
I joined #TeamStroke for the Great North Run 2026.
There are over 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
No survivor should have to face life after stroke without stroke support, providing consistent, tailored help on the long journey to recovery.
We work with the stroke community to ensure the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.

Running on my 40th birthday for papà
Tuesday 13th JanI’m running the Great North Run on my 40th birthday, a day after my dad’s 8-year anniversary. He didn’t get the years he deserved and that is never far from my thoughts now I have two children. The run is for him, I’ll be raising funds for The Stroke Association but it’s also for me. A commitment to healthier choices now so the next 21 years look very different from his last.
