I'm taking part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon 2026 as part of #TeamStroke

I’m running the Royal Parks Half Marathon this year and fundraising for the Stroke Association!! 🧠 🏃🏼‍♀️

As a speech and language therapist, I’ve worked with many stroke survivors, and I’ve also previously volunteered with the Stroke Association supporting a communication group for people with aphasia. I have worked alongside some fantastic stroke survivors and other speech and language therapists who really helped shape my understanding of stroke recovery and my interest in this area.

There are over 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.

We're here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. We believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so we work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support.
