I'm taking part in the Great North Run 2026 as part of #TeamStroke
I’ve decided to take on the Great North Run 2026 and raise money for the Stroke Association. I’m doing this for my Nain, who was diagnosed with Cadasil — a rare condition that can lead to strokes. Seeing her strength has inspired me to take on this challenge and support a cause that helps others facing similar battles.
Strokes affect so many people and families, and the charity does incredible work supporting recovery and funding vital research.
This cause means a lot to me personally, and I wanted to do something positive to give back. I’ve seen first-hand how important the right support is after a stroke, and I’m running this half marathon to help more people get the care and encouragement they need to rebuild their lives.
If you’d like to support or learn more about the Stroke Association, you can find out more on their website or through my fundraising page. Every bit of support means so much!
