I'm taking part in the TCS London Marathon as part of #TeamStroke
Hi everyone!
I’ve taken my love for Parkrun and aviators a little too far and have signed up for the London Marathon (aka 8.5 Parkruns) – all in support of the Stroke Association. 🏃♂️
There are over 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes. The Stroke Association does incredible work helping survivors rebuild their lives, supporting families, and funding vital research to prevent strokes from happening in the first place.
I have experienced how devastating and life-changing strokes can be; my Dad suffered a stroke in June 2023 and is living with the effects of his stroke today as he is relearning how to walk and talk.
I am incredibly honoured to be running the London Marathon for Stroke Association and to bring some light to my Dad after an incredibly difficult 18 months for him.
