TCS London Marathon 2027

I'm taking part in the TCS London Marathon 2027 with #TeamStroke

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. With strength, determination and the right support, recovery is possible.

By taking on this challenge with Team Stroke, I'll be fundraising to provide tailored support to tens of thousands of stroke survivors each year, fund vital scientific research, and campaign to secure the best care and support for everyone affected by stroke.

Every donation helps someone find strength through support at a time they need it most. Thank you so much for being part of this journey with me.

Running the London Marathon 2027 in Memory of My Granda Bob

Monday 22nd Jun

In 2027, I will be taking on one of the biggest challenges of my life: running the London Marathon for the Stroke Association.

This marathon is about much more than running 26.2 miles. It's about honouring my granda, Bob, and raising money for a cause that has become incredibly important to me and my family.

My granda was the best granda anyone could ask for. He was caring, funny, and always had a story to tell. Whether it was sharing memories from years gone by or making us laugh with one of his jokes, he had a way of bringing people together. His laugh is something that will always stay with me.

He loved DIY and could often be found in his garage surrounded by his tools, working on a project or fixing something. He took pride in what he did and was always willing to help others. If something needed repairing, chances are Bob could fix it.

In 2021, our family faced a huge challenge when he suffered a stroke. Like so many families affected by stroke, we saw first-hand how quickly life can change. It was an incredibly difficult time, but what I remember most is that even through everything he was facing, he never lost his sense of humour. That strength, resilience, and determination to keep smiling in the toughest circumstances is something I will always admire.

Since then, I have raised money every year for the Stroke Association in his memory. Supporting this charity has become my way of honouring him while helping other families affected by stroke. The Stroke Association provides life-changing support to stroke survivors and their loved ones, while also funding vital research that gives hope for the future.

Running the London Marathon has been a dream of mine for years, and being given the opportunity to run for the Stroke Association means the world to me. Every mile I run, every training session I complete, and every pound I raise will be for my granda.

When things get tough during training and on marathon day itself, I'll think about Bob, his laugh, his stories, and the strength he showed after his stroke. That will keep me moving forward.

If you are able to support my fundraising, no matter the amount, I would be incredibly grateful. Your donation will help the Stroke Association continue its vital work supporting stroke survivors and their families.

Thank you for supporting me on this journey and helping me honour the memory of a truly special granda.

This marathon is for Bob.

Running the London Marathon has been a dream of mine for years, and when I was given the opportunity to run for the Stroke Association, I knew it was something I had to do. Every training run, every early morning, every mile, and every step on marathon day will be for my granda.

I want to make him proud, while also helping other families who find themselves facing the same challenges that stroke can bring.

If you are able to support my fundraising, no matter how big or small the donation, I would be incredibly grateful. Your support will help the Stroke Association continue its vital work and will mean that Bob's memory continues to make a difference in the lives of others.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me.

For my granda Bob. ❤️
