I'm taking part in the Great North Run 2025 as part of #TeamStroke

I joined #TeamStroke for the Great North Run 2025.

There are over 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.

We're here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. We believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so we work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.

With only 12 weeks till race day day I ran 1.79 miles comfortably. I am feeling confident and am very grateful for my sponsorship so far, so thank you. 

GNR 2025

Thursday 16th Jan
Ok so I’ve done it and signed up to the GNR this year!!!
 It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a while so the training plan starts now.
 I have chosen to run for the stroke association not only in memory of my much loved Pop (whose birthday it would have been on race day)  but for those living with the effects of a stroke. Any donation would be thoroughly appreciated. 
I’ll keep you all up to date with my training progress.
