I'm taking part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon 2026 as part of #TeamStroke
I joined #TeamStroke for the Royal Parks Half Marathon 2026.
There are over 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
We're here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. We believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so we work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.

Royal Parks Half
Sunday 11th Oct Hi,On October 11th, I’m running the Royal Parks Half, 13.1 miles in aid of the Stroke Association. I’m running for my dad, and for everyone else whose life has been changed by a stroke.
A stroke happens in a moment, but recovery takes a long time. It affects movement, speech, confidence and relationships, and it’s tough on the people around the survivor too. Progress is slow, and some days are better than others.
I volunteer with the Stroke Association, so I’ve seen how much their support matters. They give practical help and emotional support, and they make sure people don’t have to deal with this alone. They also fund research into better treatments and recovery.
