I'm taking part in the Bath Half Marathon as part of #TeamStroke
I joined #TeamStroke for Bath Half marathon this year! There are over 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
This includes my mum, who many of you know, had a stroke in 2023. Having an unexpected life event such as a stroke in her early 50s has left a profound effect on our whole family. We remain grateful for the amazing support she received in the hospital and community in the months to follow. Through this, she has managed to recover brilliantly and we are very glad that she is still able to live her life to the fullest.
Stroke Association supports people to rebuild their lives after a stroke. They rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.
