Royal Parks Half Marathon 2025

I'm taking part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon as part of #TeamStroke

I joined #TeamStroke for the Royal Parks Half Marathon 2025.

There are over 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.

We're here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. We believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so we work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.

Half Marathon!

Friday 2nd May

This half marathon is more than just a race for me—it's a tribute to my grandparents. Stroke changed both of their lives in devastating ways. My grandad lost his independence and, ultimately, his life to its impact, and my grandma's health declined after suffering multiple strokes. I'm running to honor their memory and to support the Stroke Association, an incredible charity working to prevent strokes and support survivors. multiple strokes.

Every step I take is for them and for everyone affected. Any support, whether in donations or encouragement, means the world to me.

This half marathon is a huge challenge for me. I only recently started Couch to 5K, and I'm not a natural runner-but I'm pushing myself and have decided to take on this challenge!
