2027 Double TCS London Marathon

I'm taking part in the 2027 Double TCS London Marathon with #TeamStroke

Why…. It was a dare with my son Max over eating scrambled egg or applying for the marathon.
Why…..because my nephew Jamie  his wife Laura are raising awareness and campaigning hard.
Why….. because if you are fortunate enough to have good health - try to keep it.
Harlan a beautiful little boy:
My great-nephew, Harlan, who is just six months old, suffered a stroke in utero, meaning he experienced a brain injury before he was even born. Harlan’s parents were told he likely wouldn’t be able to walk or talk, and may not even be able to breathe on his own.

But despite this incredibly difficult start, Harlan is currently on track with his milestones and attends regular physiotherapy sessions to support his development. We’re incredibly proud of how far he has come already, and hopeful that he will continue to defy the odds and progress so positively.

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. With strength, determination and the right support, recovery is possible.

By taking on this challenge with Team Stroke, I'll be fundraising to provide tailored support to tens of thousands of stroke survivors each year, fund vital scientific research, and campaign to secure the best care and support for everyone affected by stroke.

Every donation helps someone find strength through support at a time they need it most. Thank you so much for being part of this journey with me.
