I joined #TeamStroke for the Chicago Marathon 2026.

There are over 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.

We're here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. We believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so we work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.

Training: A couple weeks in 🏃‍♀️

Thursday 18th Jun
Training is well and truly underway. I have had the opportunity to recently run across the Brooklyn Bridge in New York which was pretty special! A good US warm up trip before October! It’s also been great to run in my home county of Herefordshire and in Cumbria - hills are not my friend though! Thank you to everyone who has donated so far! I really really appreciate it! 💜

20 weeks away! Training plan has begun 🏃‍♀️

Tuesday 26th May
Just under 20 weeks until race day! It’s scary to type, the plan has been printed and it’s on the fridge. Now comes the really hard  part 😂
