I'm taking part in the TCS London Marathon as part of #TeamStroke
I joined #TeamStroke for the TCS London Marathon 2025.
There are over 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
We're here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. We believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so we work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.

Thame Trail Ultra ✅
Wednesday 23rd Oct On Saturday 19 October, I completed my first ultramarathon - the Thames Trail Ultra, which is a 48 mile race from Iffley to Henley-on-Thames. The first 20km was just pure mud and water - it was like ice skating. That fully drained my energy and strength and I was close to pulling out after checkpoint two (less than 30k in). Apparently around 20 people dropped out of the race and most of those did so between CP1-CP2. I dug deep and found a couple of people to run with and it completely changed the race. I couldn’t have done it without their support, which goes to show how important community is. Seeing family and my dog at the checkpoints was also a big boost. I Overall, it was a realllllyyyy rough but rewarding day and I learned so much!Last long run before the ultra
Sunday 6th Oct Yesterday, I did my final long run (50k) before the ultra. I’d originally planned to do this with more than two weeks to go, but life got in the way! Now, I’m going to enjoy a two week taper with less exercise, plenty of rest and then plenty of carbs on the final week. I was feeling quite nervous (and tbf I still am) about the race, but this run and the time (5hrs40) has given me a big mental boost. ShareLONDON MARATHON 2025!
Wednesday 18th Sep So today I got accepted to run for The Stroke Association in the London Marathon 2025. It's been a dream of mine to run in this legendary race and I couldn't think of a better cause. In 2024, I ran the Brighton Marathon in aid of The Stroke Association, so I am super happy to be able to raise even more for them in 2025.Thank you to my sponsors
