I'm taking part in the Great North Run 2025 as part of #TeamStroke
For the 2nd time in 3 years, I'll be running the illustrious Great North run!
Little late to the party, as wasn't sure if I'd be fit in time with my sciatica flaring up, but I'm going anyway!
Most of importantly, raising funds for the stroke association once more, in memory of my dear father, a stroke patient of more than 25 years, who sadly passed away last year.
Currently aiming for £670 target as he was 67 when he passed away.
Will be aiming for a solid sub 2 hours, which I missed out on 2 years back by 2 1/2 mins, no thanks to the 26 degree heat on the day! 🥵
So let's pray for cooler weather than we've had recently and I can remain in one piece leading up to it, helping me to savour the occasion along with 60,000 others on the course, and countless more providing outstanding support and and encouragement 😊

In honour of my lovely husband David who died last year after undergoing strokes secondary to a brain haemorrhage at 42. Delighted James is taking up the challenge for the stroke association as his dad was a keen runner and loved the Great North Run Couldn't be prouder son , God bless xx❤️
