I'm taking part in the Great North Run 2026 as part of #TeamStroke

I joined #TeamStroke for the Great North Run 2026.

There are over 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.

No survivor should have to face life after stroke without stroke support, providing consistent, tailored help on the long journey to recovery.

We work with the stroke community to ensure the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.

I'm running for Team Stroke again as part of the Great North Run 2026. The Stroke Association is a charity close to my heart, as my mum suffered a stroke in July 2024 and is still affected by it on a daily basis. It's important to continue raising awareness of it, as it is something that continues to affect many others and their families and is a long way to recovery. Anything that can be donated to this wonderful charity would be greatly appreciated, diolch!
