I'm taking part in the TCS London Marathon 2027 with #TeamStroke

In May 2025, my life changed in an instant when I suffered a stroke caused by a carotid artery dissection. What followed was one of the most challenging periods of my life, physically, emotionally, and mentally.

Recovery has been a journey of determination, patience, and resilience. There were times when I felt overwhelmed and questioned what would be possible for me in the future. During those moments, the Stroke Association provided invaluable support, information, and reassurance, helping me navigate life after stroke and reminding me that recovery was possible.

Today, I am incredibly grateful to be in a stable recovery and even more grateful to have been given the opportunity to run the London Marathon. Taking on 26.2 miles is something that once felt unimaginable, making this challenge even more meaningful.

I am running to give back to the Stroke Association and to help ensure that other stroke survivors and their families receive the same support that helped me through some of my darkest days. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help fund vital services, research, and support for those affected by stroke.
