I joined #TeamStroke for the TCS London Marathon 2025.
There are over 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
We're here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. We believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so we work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.

Running to Rewrite My Story: London Marathon 2025
Saturday 23rd NovIn October 2022, the London Marathon became an unforgettable chapter of my life—not because I crossed the finish line, but because I didn’t. At mile 21.5, my journey came to an abrupt end when I broke my hip. What should have been a triumphant day turned into one filled with pain, surgery, and months of recovery.
But now, I’m ready to write a new ending.
In April, I’m returning to the starting line with determination, gratitude, and a renewed sense of purpose. Every step I take will honor the incredible support I received during my recovery and the resilience I’ve built since. And, more importantly, I’m once again running to raise funds for Stroke Association, whose work makes a difference in the lives of so many.
Your support means the world to me. Every donation, no matter the size, will help fuel me to mile 26.2—passed the place where my leg snapped, all the way to the finish line.
