I'm taking part in the 2027 Double TCS London Marathon with #TeamStroke

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. With strength, determination and the right support, recovery is possible.

By taking on this challenge with Team Stroke, I'll be fundraising to provide tailored support to tens of thousands of stroke survivors each year, fund vital scientific research, and campaign to secure the best care and support for everyone affected by stroke.

I am running the London marathon this year in aid of Stroke Association a charity incredibly close to our hearts. In March 2023 my mum had a CVST stroke, after a 6 week stint in the Neuro Intensive Care Unit and the stroke ward at Queens Hospital she was allowed home to continue her rehabilitation/ recovery process. Since being home mum has received speech, physio and occupational therapy and has made an amazing recovery but not every story is the same. Stroke association help aid survivors recoveries and also provide support to their loved ones when it's needed most. Any donations to this amazing charity will be most appreciated! 💜
