I joined #TeamStroke for the TCS London Marathon 2025.
There are over 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
We're here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. We believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so we work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.

Running for Stroke Association
Monday 16th SepStroke Association are such an amazing charity and one very close to my heart & one I am very grateful for. So, I am extremely proud to be running for them in the 2025 London Marathon!
People that know me will know that back in 2017, I had a stroke - I was fit and healthy and a stroke was something that I knew little about. The stroke left me unable to speak, write and my short term memory took a real knock.
Not only did I have to rebuild and relearn different pathways, for my brain to think but so did my family & friends.
Along with the help of these amazing friends and family, the team at Stroke Association were all huge parts of my recovery!
I still cannot thank them all enough, hence my reason for choosing to hopefully raise money & further knowledge for everyone out there.
Through this, I have learnt how many people and their families are affected by stroke, and what it takes to rebuild a life after a stroke. The Stroke Association are such a great charity, who support so many people and not just the patients, in rebuilding theirs life’s.
