I'm taking part in the Great North Run 2025 as part of #TeamStroke
This year I’ll be running the Great North Run for Stroke Association! I’ll be running in memory of my beloved Grandad who we very sadly lost in 2016, for survivors and other families who’ve lost a loved one to stroke.
Strokes are bleeds or clots in the brain and are a leading cause of death in the UK. For survivors, they can leave devastating effects such as difficulty talking or swallowing, behavioural changes and a loss of independence.
Stroke Association is a UK charity providing life-long support to stroke survivors and their families. Donations help keep the Stroke Helpline running, which dealt with over 18,000 enquiries in a year, fund research into stroke rehabilitation and campaign for better care. Please consider donating to this amazing charity!
