I joined #TeamStroke for the Brighton Marathon 2025.

There are over 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.

We're here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. We believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so we work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.

Brighton Marathon 2025!

Tuesday 4th Feb
Hi everyone, I’m so excited to be running my first 26.2 miles on my 26th birthday, at the Brighton marathon! I’ll be running in support of the Stroke Association.
As the UK’s leading Stroke Charity, they do an incredible job of raising awareness of stroke, facilitating education and supporting individuals and their families through the gruelling process of recovering from a stroke. 


During my short time working in hospital I’ve encountered some of the devastating, life changing impacts that stroke can have to peoples’ lives, which is why I can’t think of a better cause to run for.
