I'm taking part in the Great North Run 2027 with #TeamStroke
I've joined #TeamStroke for the Great North Run 2027.
There are over 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
No survivor should have to face life after stroke without stroke support, providing consistent, tailored help on the long journey to recovery.
We work with the stroke community to ensure the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.

Running for my Nana
Wednesday 16th SepSince before I can remember my Nana was more like my mother . She was there for the highs and the lowest times. She laughed with me in the best moments and cried with me at the worst .
On the 26th August 21 my whole world fell apart losing my Nana to a sudden major stroke .I was by her side morning till night , she fought on until the very end like the strong independent woman she was.
You were with me as I entered this world ,as I was with you when you left , I’m still learning to do life without you ❤️🩹💔
She was forever proud of me and whatever I achieved in life I’m not only running this run to challenge myself, but I’m doing it to make my Nana proud ! ♥️
