I'm taking part in the Chicago Marathon 2026 as part of #TeamStroke

On the night of 6th August 2023, I awoke to what felt like a dead arm. Tests later revealed I had suffered a T.I.A (mini stroke).

I spent 3 days in the hospital and was very lucky to get away with only minor repercussions.

Many people aren't so lucky, which is why I am on a mission to do everything I can to help those who aren't as fortunate. Anything I can do to alleviate the suffering felt every day and support rehabilitation. I am running the Chicago Marathon and the Great North Run this year, and I need your help to raise funds for the Stroke Association.

Where I was able to heal, I am trying to help others do the same.

I joined #TeamStroke for the Chicago Marathon 2026.

There are over 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.

We believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so we work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.
