Im Running 2026 TCS London Marathon as part of #TeamStroke
I have been luckily to be invited to run for #TeamStroke for the TCS London Marathon 2026.
As you know this charity means a lot to Me and Jay. Here is a very small snap shot of our story …. On April 11th 2024 Jay had just pulled over at a job when he suddenly lost the sight in one eye, he was taken to Frimley Park Hospital and after various tests and scans we were told he had suffered a left posterior infarct ( stroke at the back of the brain ). A huge shock to us which affected jays job, confidence and general wellbeing. A long road was ahead leaving Jay unable to drive for a year and further life long health conditions diagnosed alongside a permanent visual field defect but he is here to tell the tale and we are so grateful. The Frimley Park Stroke unit was fantastic as was the follow up care of the stroke teams who visited us at home. As you can imagine I read the stroke association website daily trying to educate myself so I could support Jay as best as I could.
Now it’s time to give back and support them. Running a marathon bloody hard , Jay’s stroke was a week before my last marathon so this time I am hoping for a little less stress leading up to it.
Your support would mean the world to me and any donation greatly appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to read

There are over 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
We're here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. We believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so we work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.
