I'm taking part in the Great North Run 2026 as part of #TeamStroke

I joined #TeamStroke for the Great North Run 2026.

I’m running my first Great North Run this September in support of the Stroke Association — a cause that means so much to me and my family.

Both my Granny and Grandpa suffered strokes before they passed away, and we saw first-hand how devastating and life-changing a stroke can be.

My older sister now works as an occupational therapist on a stroke ward, helping patients through both the acute stages and their long journey of rehabilitation. Through her, I’ve seen how important the right support is—something the Stroke Association provides every day to stroke survivors and their families.

The Stroke Association funds vital research, offers support services, and helps people rebuild their lives after stroke.

That’s why I’m taking on the GNR—to raise money and awareness for this incredible charity.

If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean so much to me and help make a real difference to those affected by stroke.
