Why I chose to run in aid of stroke association
Monday 22nd AprMy auntie had a stroke in January 2024 whilst on her honeymoon in India, it took almost a month to get her back to England and still now in April 2024 she has finally been released home. Only in her 50s, she’s lost most feeling in her left side and has spent three months undergoing physio to try regain her strength. She has always been a huge inspiration to me and I would love to show how proud I am of her and her recovery process by doing something I love. Seeing someone I look up to going through such a traumatic experience and loosing the ability to do so many things made me realise how grateful I should be for all the things I am able to do which is why I want to run the royal parks half marathon on my 18th birthday!!
