I joined #TeamStroke for the Royal Parks Half Marathon 2026.
There are over 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
We're here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. We believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so we work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.

Running for my mum!
Thursday 23rd JulIn October I will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon to raise money for the Stroke Association. In March, my mum suffered a severe stroke. She was in a coma for a month and has since been on a long recovery journey in hospital. We hope that she will come home soon. I have always been immensely close with my mum, so it was a huge shock and deeply heartbreaking for me and my family. I want to raise money for the Stroke Association to help aid the progression of research and care, and to raise awareness on prevention and risk factors, particularly for women. I found running incredibly helpful during this stressful time, and so I am excited to run this race to raise money for such a good cause. Any donations would be highly appreciated.
