Every Mile Counts
Wednesday 24th SepOne year ago, I never imagined I’d be taking on challenges like this, but now I’m on a mission to support the Stroke Association, a cause close to my heart.
Here’s the thing: I’ve never been a runner. I don’t even run for the bus! 🏃♀️💨 But I’m proving to myself that with dedication, anything is possible.
I didn’t know about the Stroke Association when my mum was with us, and I wish I had. I understand now how hard it can be for someone looking after a loved one who’s had a stroke, and I want to help those people who are often forgotten.
Here’s my journey so far:
• March 2025: Completed a swimming challenge, raised £330 🏊♀️
• October 2025: Walking and swimming 62 miles, currently raised £71 🚶♀️💦
Now I’m preparing for my next challenges:
• Warm-up challenges:
• March 2026: First 5K run 🏃♀️
• July 2026: 10K run 🏃♀️💨
• Main event:
• 13th September 2026: The Great North Run half marathon (13.1 miles) 🎽
My fundraising goal for this journey is £350, which is a stepping stone toward my ultimate goal of raising £1,000 by the end of 2026 to support stroke survivors and their families. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference, and following my journey shows that with persistence, I can reach even the biggest goals.
Even if you can’t donate, your cheer or share means the world.
Thank you for supporting me and the Stroke Association!
