Brighton Marathon 2026

I'm taking part in the Brighton Marathon as part of #TeamStroke

In April 2025, my nan suffered a stroke that changed everything in an instant. Watching someone you love go through something so devastating is something I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Her life, and the lives of everyone who loved her, were turned upside down. Despite everything she faced, she showed incredible strength and bravery throughout a long and difficult battle.

Sadly, in November 2025, we lost her. She was an amazing woman, kind, strong, and endlessly loving. Not a day goes by that I don’t miss her or think about her.

When I told my nan that I was running the marathon, she was so proud and supportive, even while going through one of the hardest times of her life. Knowing that she believed in me means everything, and running this marathon in her memory is my way of honouring her and carrying her with me every step of the way.

I’m raising money for the Stroke Association to help support families going through what we did, and to fund vital research, care, and support for those affected by stroke. Any donation, no matter how small, would mean the world to me and help make a real difference.

Thank you so much for reading, for your support, and for helping me do this for her.

I’ll be running every mile with my nan in my heart 🤍🏃‍♀️

Running for my Nan 💜

Tuesday 20th Jan

Training for a marathon is tough. There will be days when my legs hurt, when motivation is low, and when the miles feel endless. But every mile I run will be for my nan. She’ll be with me every step of the way.

I can’t change what happened to her. I can’t bring her back. But I can do something meaningful in her memory. I can help raise awareness. I can help raise funds. And I can help work towards a future where fewer families experience this kind of loss and where stroke survivors get the care, dignity, and support they deserve.

If you’re able to donate, or even just share my fundraising page, you’ll be helping to turn heartbreak into hope. It truly means more to me than I can ever put into words.

Thank you for reading. Thank you for supporting. And thank you for helping me make every mile count 💜

My amazing daughter, I am so proud of you for running for this charity — not just for the miles you’re covering, but for the people you’re helping along the way. Every step you take is making a real difference, and that’s something truly special. When it gets tough, remember why you started and how many people you’re inspiring just by showing up and giving your best. You are stronger than you think, braver than you know, and capable of more than you imagine. Run with joy, run with purpose, and know that I’m cheering for you every step of the way. You’ve already won in the most important ways. With all my love and support ❤️
