I'm taking part in the Great North Run 2027 with #TeamStroke

I've joined #TeamStroke for the Great North Run 2027.

There are over 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.

Working with stroke survivors in the community and in the hospital has been an unimaginable privilege. From celebrating recovery to holding the hands of people who’ve just realised how significantly their lives have changed - the teams involved in supporting survivors are beyond inspiring.

No survivor should have to face life after stroke without stroke support, providing consistent, tailored help on the long journey to recovery.

We work with the stroke community to ensure the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.
