Royal Parks Half Marathon 2026

I'm taking part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon 2026 as part of #TeamStroke

I’m not a runner.

If you know me, you’ll know I’ll run for five minutes… and then I’m done. So signing up for a half marathon feels completely out of my comfort zone.

But I’ve always wanted to do something meaningful—something that challenges me and gives something back. So I thought, what better way to start than a half marathon?

In 2018, my dad had a stroke, and it broke my heart. I made the decision to give up my job so I could be there for him—to support him through recovery and just spend time together.

It wasn’t always big moments that mattered. It was the small ones. Like getting him back in the car again. I’d drive us to the shopping centre, and then he’d drive us back. Those little wins meant everything.

I’m so grateful I had that time with him.

Seven years on, he still lives with the effects of the stroke. You don’t always need words to see it—you just know.

So this run is for you, Dad. My hero.

And it’s for everyone else who has survived a stroke, and for those who continue to need support every single day.

This isn’t about being a runner for me.
It’s about having a reason to keep going.

If you’re able to support, it would mean so much.

Thank you.
