I'm taking part in the Bath Half Marathon as part of #TeamStroke
When I got the message that my mum had been rushed to hospital with a suspected stroke, I was in shock. I was soon on a train to London, heading straight to the hospital to visit.
Every day that followed, I saw my mum fight hard to get her speech and cognitive skills back. Her perseverance and determination is something that has really stuck with me, and something I will forever take forward into my life.
I am therefore running the Bath Half Marathon 2026 to give back to the stroke community, but also to show my mum how increasingly proud I am of her.
